Walking Through Hard Seasons: A Journey of Emotional Release and Healing

There was a time when walking through difficult seasons felt overwhelming—not just for me, but for my kids. I didn’t know how to help them process emotions in a healthy way. Like so many of us were taught, they learned to push down the feelings, hold in the tears, and keep going. But emotions don’t just disappear when they’re ignored. They get stored in the body, turning into trapped trauma that manifests as stress, anger, anxiety, or even physical discomfort.
The Shift: Feeling Instead of Suppressing
Now? We do things differently. We feel the feels. We release. We breathe through the discomfort instead of burying it. And let me tell you—it has made all the difference. Walking through the hard doesn’t feel as heavy when we allow emotions to move through us rather than getting stuck.
As my kids have grown, some have fully embraced this practice, while others are still finding their way. But no matter where they are on their journey, I know I’ve equipped them with the tools to heal, process, and navigate life’s emotional waves—should they choose to do so. And that, in itself, is a gift.

How Essential Oils Became Our Emotional Release Tool
Essential oils have become a non-negotiable part of this process for me. If you stopped by my home, you’d no doubt notice the comforting scent of essential oils diffusing in the air—creating an atmosphere of peace, grounding, and emotional support.
But when deep emotions surface—during big transitions, stress-filled moments, or heavy conversations—our oils work overtime. They diffuse through the night, supporting emotional processing even as we sleep. A few drops over the liver, where anger is often stored, helps us release rather than react, keeping frustration and tension at bay.
Healing Doesn’t Have to Leave a Scar
Here’s the truth: Hard seasons don’t have to leave residual sadness, especially for our kids. They deserve to process in a way that supports them, rather than leaving them carrying emotional burdens they were never meant to hold.
Aromatherapy isn’t just a luxury—it’s a tool for healing. A natural, effective way to support emotional well-being, release stress, and bring a sense of calm during life’s challenges.
If you’re a veteran oil user, I know you have these in your pocket 24/7! But if you’re new to this, maybe it’s time we talk. Because you don’t have to walk through the hard seasons unequipped, and you certainly don’t have to go it alone.
Let’s embrace healing, together.
