The Blame Game: Is It Really Yours to Carry?

It’s not your fault.
It’s not your fault they didn’t enjoy the gift you purchased.
It’s not your fault the kids are running amuck.
It’s not your fault the dog chewed the rug.
It’s not your fault...
There are a set of folks who blame others. It’s just human nature to look for whose fault it is when something goes awry. I have pondered the reasons for this and come up short every time. Maybe it’s because the discomfort of the thing that happened was so great, if we discover whose fault it was we can assign blame, be angry with them, and feel better to have a human to throw our venom on. Coming from a family that blames everyone but themselves for things, this question often runs in the back of my mind.
Then there are those few who willingly take on the blame as their personal responsibility. In fact, there are some who on the daily feel that everything that is bad in their lives or the lives of their people around them is somehow their fault. So I've heard... These people are typically first born, or onlys and so by virtue of their being born in the order they were, responsibility is heaped on their shoulders. Add in a helping of trauma and you’ve got a recipe for not only a blame taker but a chronic problem fixer.

I’m writing a series to help my precious friends who’ve spent a lifetime receiving blame that is not theirs shed it all. My goal is to assist those in need of such a tool to release it all for good, create an energetic shield where inappropriate blame bounces off them and lands where it’s meant to, and finally, receive what's rightfully theirs—freedom.
Until then, remember; it’s not your fault, dear one. If you have felt a pull in your heart reading those words, then I can assure you someone, many someones have heaped on responsibility and blame you were never meant to carry.
Get ready to lighten the load.
And for the blamers reading this, consider this as an opportunity to take responsibility for your bags and in doing so, you will lighten the load of a much cherished loved one.
