Monday Memo

It's Monday morning and if you're in the middle to eastern portion of the United States, you know the temperatures outside are on the lower side.

During my stint in Massachusetts I had been coaching a friend who lived in Alberta. On one particular day Boston was snowing, cold and felt unfriendly. In chatting with the friend, she mentioned it was, "rather cold", and she'd likely go cross country skiing later.

The rather cold was -20 something. However, she assured me that since the sun was shining, it wasn't too bad...

Perspective.

When my son got cancer we drove to Children's hospital weekly for a season. Every week it rained on that day. It felt miserable. And mean.

Perspective and association is a thing.

Weather has a funny way of being the source of sour moods and pessimistic thinking.

It is my personal belief that whether reporters earn more money if their reports are Armageddon-esque in nature.

Weather has an interesting way of revealing the culture's herd mentality as well as the emotional intelligence.

If we allow it to seep into our minds, this pessimism will overtake our own thought life, stealing our peace, purpose, and ultimately- well being.

Once my Canadian friend casually mentioned her weather experience, Boston seemed warmer.

One day while driving home from Children's hospital I heard that familiar still small voice, "rain is My abundance showering over you." Forever afterward, every drop of rain is more than welcomed to fall on me.

As I read social media posts this past week of friends sharing various weather experts' report, declaring negativity and harshness and days of below freezing, I choose to do what I've done for 6 years- breathe, speak out thanks for being alive one more day to enjoy, whether I enjoy the day feeling cold, or whether I enjoy the day warm.

You see, gratitude holds the highest frequency of all the emotions. When we choose to step into gratitude and breathe out thanks, our vibration in our physical and emotion body automatically raises. When our frequency is raised, our body feels healthier overall.

When we are experiencing high vibrations in our whole self, that vibrates out onto others and as you move through the world, those around you begin to shift with you. Low vibe friends see that light you're emitting and seek to experience what you've got.

The law of multiplication is now in full affect and you my friend, have become a catalyst for world change. Well done.

On this Monday morning, as the community around us frets and frustrates themselves because it's cold etc, grab your bottle of Joy essential oil, or Lemon, or Citrus Fresh.

Pour out a few extra drops, breathe them in deeply, and as you exhale, speak a word of thanks that you did in fact wake up today.

Everyday is filled with gifts and miracles, we only need to be in gratitude to experience all of it.

Happy Monday, my friends!
