In the book of Jeremiah, the prophet tells the people to seek the ancient ways (the eternal means of doing things), asking, " Where is the good way?”
That word good is ‘beautiful, best, better, cheerful, at ease’.
He then encourages the children of Israel to walk in that way.
Guess who quoted that passage a few hundred years later?
Jesus.
The part where He says “Come to Me, all you who are weary.”
He then goes on to say His yoke and burdens (ways of doing things) are easy and light. He promises we’ll find rest if we do this.

Returning yourself to the sacred is in essence, asking where have you wandered off the ancient path, the good, beautiful, & best way.
What in your life have you allowed to become profane?
This would be an excellent time to grab your journal and jot the questions down.
From time to time, each one of us wanders off our intended path, away from our sacred calling and onto a defiled or rather, profane way of doing this life we've been given.
You see, so many believe that something profane is only marked by 'sin' or some sort of debauchery.
In Hebrew, the word repent means to turn around. And here's a funny one, Shabbat, or in English, Sabbath, means to return to the covenant of the cross.
So in two areas, we are always being called to return to the good way. The way we were called to walk on, the way of rest.
Walking away from our personal intended path is a surefire way to open doors of emotional angst such as resentment and frustration. Those are emotions we'd all be wise to steer clear of.
Oftentimes folks get off their path simply because trying to explain to the average onlooker the reason for such a path is too exhausting and gaining approval wins over being true to self.
A mantra to keep on your lips is, "If they didn't walk on the seas they also parted, they need not be given the privilege of having a final say, if any say at all."
In returning to our own sacred journey, I prefer to invite the use of essential oils into the mix. These are timeless tools designed to clear cobwebs off the brain and make space for new healthy thoughts. They are such a simple tool, that at times I find myself forgetting their absolutely incredible potency!
Blends such as Divine Release, Transformation or Inner Child are my go tos for taking back my once sacred thing.
One drop over the crown as you envision yourself stepping back onto your sacred space or gathering your sacred items in your arms.
As you do this, imagine yourself receiving His healing touch, righting the wrongs that have occurred in your life.
Image the eternal paths, the better and best roads.
Be generous with the time you invest in this process.
Be relentless in guarding your precious treasures as well as your sacred and ancient path.
It was carved out just for you.
