If It's Not Seven, It's Just a Colorful Arch

If humans choose to take something of creation and morph it into something of their liking in order to represent a human ideal, it ought to make no difference to us as believers since our God is over ALL creation and anything man makes is, well, man-made and subpar to the God who made it all. We ought to be able to see it for what it is an absolute counterfeit AND, we ought to be able to feel pity for those who settle for less and fake.
Take aspirin for example- everyone knows you cannot patent a willow bark or wintergreen plant so rather than deal with the peskiness of that, scientists chose to see what the Lord already created in nature and synthetically manufacture it and voila- aspirin.
It’s funny to me how many believers are ok with pharmaceuticals (which is sorcery) but using a variety of stripes in an arch sends them right over the edge.
Aspirin will ruin your liver because of the synthetic components, but if one chooses to use that rather than wintergreen or willow bark, I suppose that’s their choice, yes? It does me no good to get angry with them for choosing a fake lackluster substitute. In fact, it throws negative energy their way and makes the person all kinds of angry. Dumb idea. Rather, I feel so sorry for those who choose to not do better by their bodies. It grieves me to hear people trash oils and herbs, yet choose witchcraft and sorcery for their mode of healing. But again, not my issue.
The rainbow is another stunning work of creation that was given for a specific and detailed promise. This rainbow as outlined in scripture contains 7 colors.
SEVEN
As believers we know this represents completion. For those who study Hebrew you know that the number seven is quite a bit more deep than just meaning completion. Seven is associated with the letter zayin, ז, which means cut, to nourish, rest, pierce or a weapon. When studying Hebrew it’s important to know the context and the very heart of our God.
The 7 colors of the rainbow correlate with the 7 energy centers, or chakras of the body, as well as 7 spirits of God found in Isaiah 11:2.
Red- the spirit of the Lord
Orange- the spirit of wisdom
Yellow- the spirit of understanding
Green-the spirit of counsel
Blue- the spirit of strength
Indigo- the spirit of knowledge
Violet-the spirit of the fear of the Lord
Just to clear things up- these are not God, but rather separate that flow from His throne.

When you choose to use something that was meant to be 7 yet take it down to say, 6 or 4, or even 8, you miss the nourishing, the piercing and the weapon you need for your life and the tasks before you.
The rainbow has been used so many times for a variety of things, Rainbow Brite, autism awareness, there’s the Boho rainbow for graphics, & a bohemian rainbow. Some ancient cultures thought the rainbow was a bad omen. In Greek mythology, Iris was the goddess of the rainbow connecting people to the gods. We know her now as Siri so… ya know.
When we engage is frustration and anger over something being used incorrectly or inaccurately, we are now fighting with in the energy, or spirit, of anger. The way to win is love, then peace, then patience, etc. Fighting in anger, rage and sarcasm, is not worthy of children of the King. It’s a distraction from the real battle and an epic waste of your energy and light. One could argue (and I will) that we then are not allowing ourselves to be tutored by the spirit of wisdom (orange).
For anyone who uses a type of bow with a variety of colors as a symbol be it Rainbow Brite or anything else, it’s really of no consequence because it’s not actually a true rainbow. Goodness, even science will back that one up what with frequency, band width and length and all that. And just as you probably wouldn’t go nuts and proclaim the need to take back wintergreen and willow bark from the aspirin makers, so you probably would be wise to not start a war declaring your intention to take back something that isn’t even an actual rainbow. It’s simply a few stripes that have changed over the last 50 years a half a dozen times to represent something totally opposite of THE promise. It grieves me when I know people choose less for themselves than what the Lord has already offered. Next time you see the rainbow missing some colors, consider praying for the one using it to symbolize their identity chooses better for their life rather than a counterfeit. When you see someone pop an aspirin, choose the same, pray for their eyes to be open to the damage occurring in their cells.
Besides, no one pitched a fit over Rainbow Brite in the 80s and listen, her bestie was a magical flying horse.
