Breathe Out the Sticky Emotions

Did you know that every time you exhale, you’re using a God-given gift to breathe out sticky, negative emotions?

It’s true.

And when you pair your breath with the use of essential oils, the amount of release becomes incalculable.

God’s Front-Loaded Design

The very plants that essential oils come from were carefully, meticulously created by God—the same One who knit your cells together in the womb. He designed them with purpose, front-loading humanity with healing modalities, because He knew we would one day need ways to release the negative emotions we cling to.

Pouring your heart out to a counselor or even a close friend can be beautiful, but it isn’t always easy—or even desirable. God, in His wisdom, gave us another way. By simply breathing in the essence of these plants and exhaling out what weighs heavily, we are able to experience deep release.

God’s Crazy Love

Here’s the astonishing part: even if someone doesn’t acknowledge that God was the One who created these tools, He still acknowledges them. He still allows healing to flow through His creation.

That’s the nature of His crazy love—offering restoration even to those who mock Him.

A Simple Practice for Emotional Release

If your emotions feel sticky, heavy, or unmanageable, try this:

  1. Grab any essential oil you have on hand.

  2. Pause and bring it close.

  3. Breathe in deeply.

  4. Exhale slowly, releasing the mess.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Just a simple act of pausing, inhaling God’s creation, and exhaling the burdens you no longer need to carry.

Because sometimes the most profound healing begins with the very breath God gave you.
